The annual Hanham Common Fayre (Memorial Road, Hanham, Bristol) is held on a Saturday mid May, from 12 noon - 4pm

Thank you to all our supporters, members and businesses that contribute to the success of the society stall every year. If you wish to support your green belt stall again this year we would love you to donate prizes suitable for our now famous raffle and donate bottles/jars of goodies to supply the Bottle Lucky Dip. These activities contribute to the "fighting fund" that the society has been building up to help protect the green belt.

We would also really appreciate if you would spare a little time on the day of the fayre to help sell or fold raffle tickets; or help set up the stall (around 9am).

Please come along, say hello, browse the displays, buy some raffle tickets and have a fun day.

We run a drawing competion in conjunction with local schools and a selection are displayed on our stall - a colourful treat not to be missed!

You can contact us with donations or other suggestions via the contact form, e-mail, twitter, facebook or a committee member.

Notes from the Committee

The Society Annual General Meeting is held in November at [location to be cornfirmed nearer the time]. The AGM is usually followed by a presentation of local interest.

2015 marked the 60th anniversary of England's Green Belts which limit urban sprawl and provide a breath of fresh air for millions of people living in towns and cities but are increasingly under pressure from development. “It’s where we relax. It’s where we watch wildlife. It’s where we take part in our hobbies. It’s where we eat and drink. It’s where we feel inspired. It’s where we make memories.“  CPRE invited the public to help demonstrate to the Government how valuable and vital the Green Belt is by sharing stories and memories on their “Our Green Belt” website http://ourgreenbelt.cpre.org.uk inspiring others to go out and enjoy it, too. If you are into social media view and join in the discussions using the hashtag #ourgreenbelt
